The young girl stands out on the corner waiting for her next customer to pick her up so she can make some money to pay for the drugs she uses to forget her pain.
As a young child she was abused by her stepfather and her mother ignored the fact that she was being abused. By the age of fifteen she ran away from home to escape the abuse, only to find herself out on the streets prostituting and abusing drugs. Now with no where to turn, and no one to help her this young lady lives a life of crime. She feels hopeless. The only friends she knows are the people that help her find her drugs or her next customer. (God Cries).
Her life is far from the life she had hoped for as a child. She once dreamed of living a life filled with the love of family and friends. A dream of going to college, having a career she could be proud of and maybe someday marrying a decent man who would love her and not abuse her as her stepfather had.
All of her dreams are now just a faint memory.
The only problem now is that she is expecting a child. She wonders what she will do. She will have a baby to feed and no home to go to. She knows no other life than living in the streets. She thinks about an abortion, but it is already too late for that. Oh well, she thinks I will worry about it all later. (God Cries).
Later comes, and this young woman finds herself back on the streets with no where to turn. She decides to live with the father of the child who abused her in the past. She thinks, maybe he won't beat her as badly with our baby in the house. He wants her to work, so she will do what she knows and prostitute herself again. Her precious baby will be left in the hands of her abusive boyfriend.(God Cries).
The drugs now come in handy again to ease the pain and suffering. She finds herself back in the same cycle. She wants more for her life and her baby, but she doesn't know where to turn. (God Cries).
I have heard many similar stories in my time spent in helping women. The sad fact is this cycle will continue unless someone gives hope to these ladies.
Divine Mercy Ministry is faith-based housing program set up to assist women with a new beginning - a start to a new life. Through the love shown by many people, the ladies learn that dependence on God, and having a relationship with him is the only sure way to a new life. Divine Mercy Ministry gives the ladies hope, and helps them to overcome their past life by the many programs set up to help them with their addictions, education, job skills, mental health issues, and most important, their relationship with God. Divine Mercy Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry, that relies on the help of community support and financial donations. The most important goal of Divine Mercy Ministry is to show love to these ladies so they will learn to love themselves, and to know that God loves them unconditionally. (God Smiles)
Divine Mercy Ministry needs your support to continue to help these ladies that choose to be helped. We are breaking the cycle of abuse, so that these ladies children will be saved from the same cycle. (God Smiles)
Jesus showed his love for us by dying on the cross, each time a lady falls, the devil steals a soul of the life Jesus died for. We at DMM feel called to help these lost souls find their way back to Jesus.
If God puts on your heart to help Divine Mercy Ministry, we will gratefully accept any donation, or help you can offer. All donations are tax deductable. Most importantly, we ask that you keep all the ladies and Divine Mercy Ministry in prayer. (God Smiles).
Thank you, and God Bless You,
